- Conventionally, we grow strawberries, melons, apples, peaches, tart cherries, sweet cherries, sweet corn, tomatoes, eggplant, cut flowers, peppers, and potatoes. We understand that these are NOT CNG. At farmers markets, we will make it very clear to customers what piece of produce is conventional and which is CNG, by labeling, color coded table clothes, and keeping all the CNG produce on one side of the display and keeping conventional on the other side of the display.

- Plastic mulch is used with drip irrigation, we till in between rows to control weeds, and weeds are manually removed through the plastic. Another practice we use for weed control is only tilling one acre at a time in order to lay plastic and leave the other two acres to rye until it is needed.

- I use pyganic. We have a separate sprayer for spraying organic materials than our conventional sprayers.

- We use our organic sprayer and use regalia and I have also used omni certified copper to control blight and powdery mildew. We also plant staggered crops more often than our conventional because of the shorter life span with organics.

For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
- The plot is surrounded by a tree line and houses. he CNG plot is 50 yards south from our area of conventional vegetables, and all of our conventional fruit trees are at least 150 yards away. We will only spray conventional when it is calm or we have a south wind.
