The Mannor Farm

Hesperia, Michigan

Our little farm is located on 25 acres in Oceana County southwest of Hesperia in the Manistee National Forest. We are bordered on three sides by forest and a small horse farm to the north. We are 3 miles from the White River and Pines Point Camp Ground.
We originally come from very different backgrounds. Dan was raised on a farm in Oceana County, Michigan while Linda was raised in Staten Island, New York. We have had several small farms over the past 40 years and have raised beef cattle, sheep, and hay. We have always had a garden and tried to maintain a self-sufficient lifestyle.
We have always tried to grow our livestock and food as naturally as possible. In 2012, we started raising squash, field corn and garlic on Dan’s parents’ old farm with an emphasis on naturally grown.
In 2017, we purchased our current place and since it had not been farmed in over 40 years, decided to manage it naturally in a sustainable manner.
In 2019, we plan to expand to raising eggplant and peppers in addition to our garlic and squash. We also are offering green garlic for the first time this spring.

Certified Naturally Grown puts an emphasis on small farmers that are interested in interacting more directly with their customers, fellow farmers, and communities.
